Now I’m in a new life — or in other words, “single” life. I don’t mind actually, I’ve always longed for this anyway. But the thing is a while ago (yes, he’s kind of bugging me now), I received a text from him saying that I should not break up with him and I should give him another chance, which unfortunately I still haven’t decided for now. He also said he’s going to fix everything. But of all he said, my favorite is:
I will do everything to win you back.
Hehe.
ANYWAY.
I received emails from ~absolutely~ anonymous people asking for my real name. I will do this once and this will be the last (hehe, because I’m using my nickname to everything I registered for and at). My real name is:
Eraine Bernadette Santos Otayde
According (ehem) to my mom, the name Eraine was from a cartoon character back in the 80’s. I also stated in my “about me” page that I’m confident enough that I’m the only “Eraine” living in this world. How pathetic am I, right? See for the Google Search yourself.
Note the name Elaine above.
When I was still studying, I’ve had classmates with the name Elaine and to be honest, it confuses me. Because I am called “Eraine” and not Yvette. Dunno why. Sosyal sila, e. They hate Yvette. Weird. Moving on.. obviously, these two names rhyme. So when a teacher calls Elaine, I always thought it was me. YEAH.
I tried to search “meaning of eraine” at Google but no luck.
Honestly, I like my first name. Especially when those days I go gaga over Rain. HAHAHA. Not anymore now, though.
Now, let’s jump to the surname because the second and middle name is pretty common. Otayde. Again, when I was still studying, people always ask me if I’m a Japanese, because of the surname, lulz. And because of my face. Damn it. My dad is from Visayas (so obviously, may lahi akong bisaya, but I dunno how to speak their language — I can only do the accent), that’s what I only know. But it still do not answer the origin of our surname. Perhaps I’ll try to ask him sometime. Hehe.
So there you go! But don’t call me Eraine. I prefer to be called Yvette.
